It is amazing that none of the people who discusses homosexuality and Islam is able to worry that by making a mistake in interpreting the book and through being too comfortable in reiterating some cultural norms and airing them as what the book says they could be alienating a large population of Muslims from their own religion and community, further increasing their isolation. I think if they become more aware of that trap, they can be more accurate their judgements.
